After a very quiet December, aeronautically speaking, it was nice to actually have something aeronautical to photograph, albeit from my back garden.
EasyJet A319 G-EZAT spent a couple of hours bashing the circuit at Robin Hood Airport in the morning before departing back to London Gatwick.
The second aircraft involved in training during the morning was Beech 350 Shadow R1 ZZ419 of the Royal Air Force's No.14 Squadron, based at RAF Waddington.
Little has been published, at least officially, about the role of these aircraft since they entered service with the RAF in 2011; however, it is evident from the assortment of aerials and strange bumps mounted on the fuselage that electronic surveillance and intelligence is a major part of its mission.
