You probably don’t need me to tell you how awful the weather in the UK has been since the new year started, so it was a pleasant surprise to find Monday 10th February in
Blackpool dawned sunny, if somewhat cold and windy. Having not pointed
my camera at anything with wings (or indeed rotor blades) this year, I called into Squires Gate
on the off-chance there might be something to photograph.
There
wasn’t a great deal happening, but I was particularly pleased to capture
Manx-registered Embraer Phenom 100 M-YTOY in pixels. It’s usually been
safely tucked away in one of the hangars during my previous visits.
Receiving attention on stand between flights is Jet2 Holidays’ Boeing 737-300 G-GDFL.
Given
the blustery conditions, there weren’t many flying club aircraft active
at Blackpool, however, Piper PA28 Cruiser II G-BRBW, belonging to Air
Navigation and Trading, was one that did brave the elements.
