A trip to Squires Gate on a Sunday morning, along with a fair number of other enthusiasts, to have a look at the aircraft visiting in connection with the Open at nearby Royal Lytham golf course.
It was a lovely morning and there were some very interesting aircraft on view, but thoughts of getting some decent photographs were dashed, thanks to a metal panel fence that had been erected alongside taxiway Bravo.
Quite what purpose this was intended to serve was the subject of much conjecture during the morning, and whether it becomes a permanent fixture shall no doubt be revealed in the fullness of time!
