A none-too-common sight on this side of the pond is the Quest Kodiak 100. Built in Sandpoint, Idaho, the Kodiak has been designed as a 10-seat single-engine turboprop utility aircraft and up to September 2013, 100 had been built.
N97KQ had arrived at DSA the previous evening on a delivery flight and had departed again early morning; however, a problem with the aircraft's anti-ice system developed and the pilot opted to return to Robin Hood Airport. While it probably wasn't good new for the pilot, it was good news for me and I managed to capture a telephoto shot of the aircraft from my back garden.
