Doncaster-Sheffield - 13/06/14

Friday the 13th might be considered unlucky by some people, however, for yours truly it was anything but. Bright morning sunshine and some interesting visitors made for a very pleasant hour spent at the end of runway 20.

First up was EC-LZD, a brightly-painted Airbus A320 operated by Spanish airline Evelop and sporting the latest 'sharklet' wing tips. The aircraft is shown arriving from Palma and would return there about an hour later.

Next to pass in front of the lens was Link Air's BAe Jetstream 31 G-GAVA. The aircraft is very much a 'regular' at Robin Hood, being used to operate the daily services to Belfast City and the Isle of Man.

Another frequent visitor to the airport is Guernsey-based Learjet 45 G-OSRL. This aircraft was operated for a time by Aviation Beauport, but now flies under the Hangar 8 banner.

The Swiss-made Pilatus PC12 continues to sell well, with over 1200 airframes having been produced to date. One of them, D-FFHZ, is shown about to touch down at the end of its flight from Germany.

Following the Pilatus down the ILS a few minutes later, was Aviation Beauport-operated Cessna 560 Citation XLS G-OJER.
