Citation Service Centre - Doncaster - 30/05/14

Based in the former 'Hangar 2' at Robin Hood Airport, and previously known as Kinch Aviation Services, the Citation Service Centre is the first Cessna-owned facility in the UK specialising in the maintenance and modernisation of all versions of the popular business jet. Further information can be found at:- http://www.cessna.com/en/citation-service/doncaster

A quick visit on the afternoon of May 30th gave me the opportunity to photograph a few of the aircraft present. Thanks to 'JAC' at www.dsaf.co.uk for providing additional information.

Cessna 525C CitationJet CJ4 M-FLYI had arrived a couple of hours previously  from Bournemouth for attention at the centre. The aircraft carries 'Avtrade' titles on the fin.

G-JETA is a Cessna 550 Citation II that arrived way back in August 2010, and has been stored since then.

Another long-term resident Citation II, though only since October 2013, is N550LD and this aircraft, too, is in storage.

Cessna 441 Conquest G-USAR had a somewhat ignominious arrival at Robin Hood in July 2011, when the right main landing gear collapsed on landing. (details at http://www.aaib.gov.uk/publications/bulletins/february_2012/cessna_441_conquest__g_usar.cfm ).

The aircraft was subsequently repaired in Hangar 2.

A glimpse into Hangar 2. From left to right, the inmates are:-

Citation 560XLS G-EYUP, Citation 750 N750GF, CitationJet CJ3 G-OMBI, Citation II N425ST, Beech 200 Super King Air M-EGGA, Beech 90 King Air M-OTOR and finally, the nose of Citation Bravo D-CCAB is just visible on the far right.
